Throughout the ages, Paris has exerted an endless fascination on visitors and residents, who have longed to know and understand her. Paris is a majestic city, a city of culture, romance and drama, of gastronomy, design and fashion, of triumph and tragedy, of farce and grandeur, of crime and passion. Above all, Paris the city of contradictions, of myths and of perpetual change is also a city on the move, a city of daring.
Rosa Jackson, a charming French Canadian and 14-year resident of the ‘city of lights’ is a renowned Paris food writer, impassioned by the history and the gastronomy of her city and country, a regular contributor to Paris Notes and Time Out Paris restaurant Guide, a respected independent food commentator with her Edible Paris newsletter, and takes classes at her residence in Nice. Rosa will share her “foodie” secrets and introduce you to those exceptional artisans responsible for the on-going wealth of French food, specialist suppliers and producers, taking you behind the scenes of their culinary studios.
Guests will make their own arrangements for hotel accommodation (though Art of Living can provide extensive helpful recommendations here), and each day Marieke and Rosa will introduce those culinary artisans Rosa regards most highly where you will sample their products:-A Fromagerie, A Charcuterie, A Boulangerie, A Chocolatier and perhaps more.
The Final Program and Cost will is available on application and will include one lunch in an avant-garde bistro, one dinner in a traditional bistro and one grand dinner. One or both days may be selected.
